Programme
The ‘Capacity Planner’ certification course consists of five modules:
- The costs and benefits of planning: you will learn how to quantify the costs and benefits of capacity deployment;
- Fit and flex: interventions in medium-term workforce planning. What adjustments can you make and what are the costs and benefits of interventions;
- Generating management data and giving advice: development of metrics and performance indicators. How to read, interpret, and give advice based on analytics;
- Planning quality assurance: giving advice about the structure of the planning organisation and the best planning system;
- Drawing up regulations for work times: formal enforcement of management decisions.
Optional: Working Hours Act and Shift Roster Design online training modules
Participants in this training course will also get a discount on the Working Hours Act and Shift Roster Design online training modules. This can be helpful during the preparation for the exam and afterwards in order to refresh the acquired knowledge (the login code is valid for 12 months).
Practical information
Knowledge anchoring
After completing the first four lesson days and the exam, the participant will start to apply the acquired knowledge and skills within their own organisation. From past experience we know that new issues and questions often arise.
In order to ensure the proper embedding of the knowledge and expertise, the course will conclude with a knowledge anchoring session: some time after the course the participants will be able to share their experiences in a half-day session. Together with the trainer, they will try to find solutions for any problems they have encountered, and the previously acquired knowledge will be refreshed. The manager of the planner will also be invited to take part in the knowledge anchoring day.
