Better results with workforce planner training
SUCCES is a company based in Volendam that specialises in the cleaning of buildings, windows, facades, transportation, and lighting. Transportation in particular is a major challenge. Trains, for example, have to be cleaned at night, and they also have to be cleaned in the right way.
SUCCES gets special training for its planners
The demand for improved efficiency and the tightening up of the audits carried out by the SZW Inspectorate (formally the Labour Inspectorate) means planners also have to be better qualified. So SUCCES knew it had to improve its planning.
SUCCES had to find a balance between the interests of its clients, the interests of its employees, and the need to comply with statutory regulations. SUCCES therefore came to Déhora with the following question:
“We have fairly experienced planners and managers. So how can Déhora make our planning even better?”
Five-day workforce planner training course
Déhora offered SUCCES a five-day workforce planner training course. A very challenging programme filled with practical exercises and an exam at the end. The subjects covered included the role of the planner, the applicable rules and regulations, and shift roster design techniques. The workforce planner course is Cedeo-certified and is rated very highly (8) by the participants.
Workforce planner training course with an immediate impact
SUCCES saw an immediate impact after the planners and team leaders had completed the training course. They now speak the same language, have constructive meetings about how the shift roster design can contribute towards the achievement of the organisational objectives, and tell each other when something needs to be improved. Instead of being a problem, planning has now become part of the solution. The certified planners and team leaders now act as a helpdesk for any colleagues struggling with planning issues. And of course violations of the Working Hours Act (ATW) are now a thing of the past.
