Working Hours Act
The Working Hours Act regulates, amongst other things, the minimum permissible break times and the maximum permissible working hours. These limits have been set in order to safeguard the health, safety and welfare of the employees. The government wants all employees to have a safe and healthy working environment, and it is therefore carrying out more inspections to make sure the ATW is properly enforced.
Knowing more about the rules under the ATW will help you to make sure your shift rosters are always in compliance. This means your shift plans, and above all the time actually worked, will always be within the set limits, so you never have to worry about inspections.
